Standing out at a trade fair doesn’t necessarily mean you need a huge exhibition stand. We proved this at Europort in Rotterdam, where we worked for Innovative Navigation created a stand of only 14 m². Compact, yet complete. The client had one clear wish: to move away from the standard stand construction they’d been using for years through the trade show organizers, with simple walls, a few pieces of furniture, and a TV screen. The result never felt truly professional to them and was also very time-consuming.

I‘m looking for a creative exhibition stand builder who can help me design and build a new stand. I’ve rented a 60 m² stand from the organizers. How can I make the most of it and create a beautiful, warm, inviting, and open stand that clearly showcases our products?

Design trajectory at Anggrek projects

For several years now, a diverse selection of products has been the focal point of this stand at the Parcel & Post expo. These include parcel lockers, cameras, and electric vehicles. But among these products, there also had to be ample space for engaging in conversation with customers. Space for a delicious cup of beanful coffee and storage space to neatly conceal all the wiring.

To achieve this, we devised various designs for each year, playing with the available space. We also considered the dimensions and the number of items. For example, we once wanted to feature three electric vehicles on the stand. By moving them together and offering options, we discovered that this didn’t contribute to a beautiful, organized and clear stand. So, we continued designing until we achieved the ideal layout and atmosphere, which satisfied all parties. To complete the design, we incorporated poplar wood , plants, sleek furniture, and warm velvet materials for the stools and chairs. This combination creates an atmospheric yet neutral base where the products truly shine.

Realization of the stand in the RAI

The preparations for this stand included numerous designs to find the ideal layout. Once we found it, we went to work in the workshop to tailor everything to our needs. However, a lot of preparation is also required in the office, for example, creating the complete wiring plan for power and internet. By carefully considering this beforehand, you avoid surprises during setup on the stand floor. Ultimately, we were able to prove ourselves for the third time as the creative stand builder for this stand, and the client was once again satisfied.

Some projects make you extra proud – and this is one of them.
For our long-standing client, Oribi, we were asked to design and build a completely new exhibition stand, matching their brand-new corporate identity. A task we embraced with both hands!

We’ve been working with Oribi for years, from designing their office to several trade show stands over the past few years. But this time, everything was a little different. With a new look and a clear goal: a professional, stylish stand with plenty of demo space to optimally present their software.

A creative design process

The design process remains a creative process every time. You start with wishes, ideas, and functional components, and then you adjust, adjust, and measure until everything is perfect. Until the complete picture emerges, one that combines atmosphere, function, and appearance.

For Oribi, that meant a warm, inviting stand with a clear brand identity. The new corporate identity featured rich, warm colors that we wanted to combine with a neutral yet atmospheric base. This required care and attention, so we got to work with color swatches, paint samples, and material tests.

Attention to every detail

Not only the colors, but also the materials had to match perfectly. For example, we ordered several carpet samples to find the right shade and luxurious look that complemented the rest of the design. Everything was carefully coordinated – from the wall finish to the lighting and furniture.

Oribi ‘s new corporate identity comes to life beautifully in a warm, professional environment that invites meetings and demos.

And we? We’re proud. Of the design, the execution, and the wonderful collaboration with Oribi.

Congress with good stand design

This conference features several plenary speakers and numerous workshops, with two rounds each day. The topics are diverse and all relate to Civil Affairs. During the conference, there will be an exhibition floor with over 60 stands, including several government agencies, businesses, and educational institutions, providing participants with a wide range of information.

PinkRoccade’s exhibition stand really shines at this trade show. They have a beautiful stand filled with various demonstration points.

Stand design

This stand design stands out because PinkRoccade wanted something different! They wanted to stand out and convey their message clearly and powerfully. This year’s message was: from dream to reality. And so, together we aimed for higher ground: the clouds! This, combined with the striking color scheme of the corporate identity, creates a beautiful combination.

Signing in the stand design

Once the stand layout has been approved by PinkRoccade, it’s time to consider the signage. This is what makes or breaks the stand. The right visuals , at the right height and in the right place, create the complete look. We and PinkRoccade have exchanged a lot of communication about this signage. Because it’s so important! So, it’s crucial to see how it looks when the signage wraps around the corner. Whether it all fits with the TV screens, tables, etc. Every detail counts, especially with this stand.

This gave us a little early introduction to Hoppenbrouwers’ new logo. A powerful symbol of growth, innovation, and collaboration.
“Every day, we work on tomorrow’s future. We bring change, and so we change with it. We are more than just technology and believe in a sustainable world. A powerful symbol representing growth, entrepreneurship, and innovation is essential to this. And that’s reflected in our new logo. It refers to the elements that are important to us and our way of working: strict adherence to agreements, flexible solutions, and always close by, for both employees and customers. The word ‘technology’ no longer appears in our new logo. We transcend technology without losing our technical heart.” And that also had to be made visible at the 2024 edition of the Aqua trade fair.

New corporate identity, new stand

This new logo and corporate identity inspired the desire for an open, sleek, yet not too symmetrical new exhibition stand. Hoppenbrouwers transcends technology without losing its technical heart, and this stand also transcends the standard, sleek, technical stands. It has become a spacious, inviting stand with an open and warm character. The reason for this, in our opinion? The spacious design, the warm materials chosen, and the asymmetric layout. Furthermore, the beautiful full-color images on the walls create a stunning and powerful look, while still showcasing that technical heart!

Trade fair design together with the customer

In 2023, we were asked to design an exhibition stand for OSEC for the first time. For most companies, we contribute a lot of ideas and designs during the design process, but Osec had a very precise idea of how the stand should look. This is certainly possible, and we work with the client to fine-tune every detail.

Detail 1 was the black color of the walls. How is this achieved? With paint, latex, fabric cloth, melamine-faced sheeting, these are all possibilities. Each choice has its own advantages and disadvantages in terms of cost, appearance, finish level, etc.

The next detail was controlling the screens and computers. What equipment will be used for this? How should it be connected? How can we access this during the trade show if something goes wrong? These are all matters we discussed in detail to avoid any surprises.

Fire safety & security event 2024

This year, Osec once again requested a stand, but twice as large as in 2023. We used the same materials and layout to create the design. This was then implemented during construction, resulting in a sleek, stylish look that perfectly showcased the products.

At this exhibition stand, it’s always a true collaboration between us and Osec, with the setup being perfectly coordinated. We install the walls, lighting, and signage panels. They then get to work installing all the screens and equipment. This allows us to finish everything off by installing the side panels, cleaning, touching up, and adjusting the lights.

Oté was looking for a striking stand. And an atmospheric stand, because we’ve already built four striking stands for Oté. Namely, the one and only Oté Cafe ! It’s always a joy to build their unique and recognizable image. A striking exhibition stand with a colorful branding and a welcoming atmosphere that appeals to almost everyone. We created these stands at Opti in Munich and the NCC in Veldhoven.

This time they came to us again with a new challenge: designing a pop-up patio for the Bold XXL Optical Fair.

The wish? A place that exudes the same warm and cozy Ote Café atmosphere, but in a more open setting. Outdoors, light and airy, with that relaxed festival feel, yet completely in line with Oté ‘s familiar style.

How does such a process work?

We always start with a brainstorming session to fully understand the client’s vision. What atmosphere do they want to create, what should the visitor experience, and where will the concept come to life? Based on this, we create the initial designs, translating Oté ‘s vision into a striking stand with the desired atmosphere. Naturally, we also consider all practical aspects such as sufficient workspace, cooling, seating, routing, and so on. Because ease of use is also crucial.

Then comes the refinement: choosing materials, reviewing the wall design, coordinating colors, and selecting decorations. Once the design is finalized, we implement the complete concept down to the last detail in the workshop and, of course, finally on the trade show floor in the Brabanthallen. This way, the client doesn’t just get a plan on paper, but a ready-made experience at the trade show.

The result

A pop-up patio that seamlessly integrates with Ote Café while adding a fresh twist. It’s an open and vibrant meeting place that perfectly complements the Bold XXL. Here you can see both the café and this pop-up patio, both striking stand structures.

Problem: The product and how to present it are the most important, but beyond that, there aren’t many requirements. Our name needs to be clearly visible, and the stand needs to be a beautiful setting for engaging with customers. We’re happy to leave the design of the stand to you.

Solution: The starting point is “the burner,” which is presented at the focal point of this stand: the corner. The podium on which “the burner” stands, along with the back wall featuring a flatscreen, forms a cohesive whole. The accompanying ceiling, featuring the logo, also beautifully illuminates the podium with “the burner.” This creates attention! The height also allows for this from a distance. There’s space for conversation at the bar and the standing table. Both complement the sleek design of the stand. By using the company colors in combination with the wood, the blue “burner” stands out even more.

Implementation: During the construction of the Greentech stand , the design was executed exactly as visualized. During the build, we were able to utilize our experience and flexibility as a stand builder when a last-minute decision was made to add a panel, including power, to the back wall. We were also happy to handle the logistics for the burner itself, so the client didn’t have to worry about it. We arranged for its transport by forklift, and ensured that it was finally equipped with power and internet and ready for use.
