What does an office design with atmosphere look like for the future, taking into account today’s needs?

Problem:

What should we all consider when it comes to office design? It should create a pleasant working atmosphere that’s also functional.

Solution:

We compiled an overview of all the staff’s wishes, requirements, and routines to create a basic plan for the office design. This plan was filled with furniture, while also ensuring a pleasant work environment! We first proposed various styles and colors to help us find the best fit for the client. By using warm materials combined with wood, plants, rugs, and curtains, we created an office design that exudes ambiance and experience. It also features a beautiful interior that creates a pleasant and practical work environment. This complements the existing items from the Leestenfabriek in Oisterwijk where the office was furnished.

Realization:

During the realization of the office design, all components were implemented step by step, following the drawings. The desks were installed and equipped with cable ducts. We also connected all the wiring so the client could start working in their new workspace immediately after the move.

Problem: We know which appliances we want to display, but how can we make sure they all fit together in a piece of furniture that also fits into the limited space?

Solution: The basis is the appliances, which have fixed dimensions and are therefore decisive. The angle at which they are mounted is also crucial, as they cannot be any larger. By combining these and considering how to neatly conceal the cables within the furniture, a design emerges. Reinforcing the wood of the table in this design also creates a sense of unity.

Implementation: During the creation of this custom-made wall unit, the appliances and wiring were the most important foundation. Everything had to be made so that it could be easily replaced or removed. This took some time, but the end result is impressive. A sleek yet stylish custom unit that truly showcases the appliances.

This custom-made wall unit was added later to this project. We designed and built the rest of the furnishings first, including the meeting room where it was installed. The entire interior was installed in the beautiful Leestenfabriek in Oisterwijk.

Problem: We know what we need in the meeting room, but how do we bring it all together to create a cohesive whole?

Solution: Here too, we created an overview of all wishes and technical requirements to create a basic plan for the meeting room. This was filled with furniture, while certainly not forgetting the rest of the office furnishings! While it’s important to have a unified look, it also needs to be distinct because it serves a different function within the office. By using warm materials combined with wood, plants, rugs, and curtains, we created a beautiful design that creates a pleasant and practical meeting atmosphere.

Implementation: During the construction of this meeting room, we started with all the technical equipment. These are incorporated into a custom-made wall, behind which all wiring is neatly concealed. The lamp above the table is also custom-made, just like the table itself! Unique because it’s made from a wooden tree trunk, so no two are the same . Combined with the base, it creates a stylish combination, with the technical connections also neatly concealed. The curtains, carpet, and greenery complete the look.

This meeting room is part of a complete project where we furnished all the offices. Later, we also added a custom-made wall unit to this meeting room. This entire interior was installed in the beautiful Leestenfabriek in Oisterwijk.

For Rotterdam Ship Repair and Eerland ship Repair, we were once again asked to create a truly atmospheric stand. We designed and built this unique stand for Europort, a welcoming meeting place with the warm atmosphere of a traditional Dutch pub, but with a modern twist. The perfect setting for welcoming customers, having conversations, and making new contacts.

The use of color plays a significant role in this atmospheric stand: soft gray, anthracite, and robust wood combine to create a warm, inviting base. The copper accents and green plants create a refined balance between rugged and stylish.

The large bar is the heart of the stand, a real eye-catcher. With cognac-colored bar stools and benches, the space invites relaxed gatherings in an informal atmosphere.

Anngrek, Anggrek, Angrek, Anggerek… We know! It ‘s a difficult name. The official spelling is Anggrek , and it comes from our past. We started out as a flower shop called Anggrek, which means “orchid” in Malay. And it doesn’t feel right to change the name with such a beautiful past, so the difficult name remains. But the conversation turned to standing out with Anggrek, and we’d love to help. This exhibition stand was no exception. Praxis Automation’s brief was to design a stand where the products take center stage, in a warm and inviting setting. Naturally, we enthusiastically embraced that request!

Standing out on the trade fair floor

The foundation of this exhibition stand is a beautiful oak-colored PVC floor. The color instantly creates a warm atmosphere and makes walking very pleasant. These are also important features in a stand.

We then put the products in the spotlight by literally placing them in a frame. This automatically draws the customer’s attention to the products. Of course, the company’s red color contributes significantly to this. The open shelving unit also provides additional display space for all the smaller items. By literally grouping these together, a powerful look is created.

We also considered practical needs such as sufficient seating for conversations, a bar for a nice cup of coffee and storage to keep the stand tidy.

Standing out at a trade fair doesn’t necessarily mean you need a huge exhibition stand. We proved this at Europort in Rotterdam, where we worked for Innovative Navigation created a stand of only 14 m². Compact, yet complete. The client had one clear wish: to move away from the standard stand construction they’d been using for years through the trade show organizers, with simple walls, a few pieces of furniture, and a TV screen. The result never felt truly professional to them and was also very time-consuming.

The advantage of a professional stand builder

That’s where we came in. As experienced stand builders in Rotterdam, we knew exactly how to maximize the available space. No more standard setups, but a well-thought-out design that actually works. In this stand, we incorporated features such as a double-sided wall with integrated demonstration options and an awning that provided both height and visibility.

The client had doubts about whether everything would fit within the small space. But upon completion, he remarked, “It feels so spacious, and all in just 14 m²!”

I‘m looking for a creative exhibition stand builder who can help me design and build a new stand. I’ve rented a 60 m² stand from the organizers. How can I make the most of it and create a beautiful, warm, inviting, and open stand that clearly showcases our products?

Design trajectory at Anggrek projects

For several years now, a diverse selection of products has been the focal point of this stand at the Parcel & Post expo. These include parcel lockers, cameras, and electric vehicles. But among these products, there also had to be ample space for engaging in conversation with customers. Space for a delicious cup of beanful coffee and storage space to neatly conceal all the wiring.

To achieve this, we devised various designs for each year, playing with the available space. We also considered the dimensions and the number of items. For example, we once wanted to feature three electric vehicles on the stand. By moving them together and offering options, we discovered that this didn’t contribute to a beautiful, organized and clear stand. So, we continued designing until we achieved the ideal layout and atmosphere, which satisfied all parties. To complete the design, we incorporated poplar wood , plants, sleek furniture, and warm velvet materials for the stools and chairs. This combination creates an atmospheric yet neutral base where the products truly shine.

Realization of the stand in the RAI

The preparations for this stand included numerous designs to find the ideal layout. Once we found it, we went to work in the workshop to tailor everything to our needs. However, a lot of preparation is also required in the office, for example, creating the complete wiring plan for power and internet. By carefully considering this beforehand, you avoid surprises during setup on the stand floor. Ultimately, we were able to prove ourselves for the third time as the creative stand builder for this stand, and the client was once again satisfied.

Some projects make you extra proud – and this is one of them.
For our long-standing client, Oribi, we were asked to design and build a completely new exhibition stand, matching their brand-new corporate identity. A task we embraced with both hands!

We’ve been working with Oribi for years, from designing their office to several trade show stands over the past few years. But this time, everything was a little different. With a new look and a clear goal: a professional, stylish stand with plenty of demo space to optimally present their software.

A creative design process

The design process remains a creative process every time. You start with wishes, ideas, and functional components, and then you adjust, adjust, and measure until everything is perfect. Until the complete picture emerges, one that combines atmosphere, function, and appearance.

For Oribi, that meant a warm, inviting stand with a clear brand identity. The new corporate identity featured rich, warm colors that we wanted to combine with a neutral yet atmospheric base. This required care and attention, so we got to work with color swatches, paint samples, and material tests.

Attention to every detail

Not only the colors, but also the materials had to match perfectly. For example, we ordered several carpet samples to find the right shade and luxurious look that complemented the rest of the design. Everything was carefully coordinated – from the wall finish to the lighting and furniture.

Oribi ‘s new corporate identity comes to life beautifully in a warm, professional environment that invites meetings and demos.

And we? We’re proud. Of the design, the execution, and the wonderful collaboration with Oribi.
